Quail Forever's First Quail Classic

National Pheasant Fest’s first trip to Kansas City also includes the event’s first Quail Classic addition to the show. Quail Forever’s Quail Classic at the event means attendees will have more quail seminars, quail exhibitors, quail dogs, quail shotguns and quail merchandise than ever before. Highlights include:

Who is The Face of Quail Hunting in America? From English pointers to German shorthairs and from Brittanies to setters, there will be a wide variety of quail dogs participating in all aspects of the show; including the Bird Dog Parade, which kicks off the festivities on Friday, February 17th at 12:30PM.

Scott Linden, host of Wingshooting USA Television. Linden will present Hunting Quail & Upland Game Birds in the West each of the three days of the show. Linden is an extremely knowledgeable bird hunter and his practical “How To” seminars always receive rave reviews.

Dr. Dale Rollins of Rolling Plains Quail Research Ranch will talk about the nation’s quail population decline in The Great Quail Decline & the Search for Smoking Guns. Dr. Rollins expertise spans subjects from predator management to prescribed burning, but his specialty is quail management. In 2008 he was recognized as a “Hero of Conservation” by Field & Stream Magazine. He was also the founder of the “Bobwhite Brigade."

The brand new line of Franchi Instinct over/under shotguns will be on display in the Benelli booth. These new beauties come in 20 gauge with beautiful walnut stocks and 26 or 28 inch barrels.

Quail Guides. Missouri & Kansas are Bobwhite Quail Country, but have you ever dreamed of hunting Mearns, Gambel’s or scaled quail? The Arizona Quail Guides are just one of the exhibitors at the event eager to talk with you about all things quail, including the western desert species of the game bird. Stop by the Arizona Quail Guides for a visit at Booth #612.

Bill White of the Missouri Department of Conservation will present some practical habitat ideas in Bringing Back Bob on Bill's Farm.
